Why did Bush do nothing about the USS Cole? That happened at the end of Clinton's term so it was up to Bush to avange it. But Bush and all his people came into power and actually ignored Islamic terrorism. It was not even mentioned in a single speech until AFTER 9-11 and Bush had no counter-terrorism operations against any Islamic terrorists. He was also warned on 8-6 of impending Al Qaida attacks within the US probably using hijackings, yet he did absolutely nothing, and neither did Rice, Rummy or Ashcroft. Why not? Another mystery. Did Bush in fact WANT Islamic terrorists to attack us? Then use that as an excuse to go grab Iraq? Either something like that or totally asleep at the switch. Bush is not a good commander in chief, he just talks a good game. In fact, he is one of the worst commanders in chief we have ever had. And his real agenda remains a mystery.
