No, I don't think 9/11 came from Saddam, no more than I think December 7th came from Hitler, and I have never anywhere claimed that.

I definitely and absolutely support what we've done in Iraq, regardless. Strategically speaking, I think it was exactly what was needed, to address a whole host of issues which I cannot immediately elaborate on because my wife will be getting out of the bathtub any moment now.

The "septic tank" John was referring to was the "low and nasty" road of political discourse in this country, as opposed to the high ground.
