It was partly myth and partly propaganda. I say it was partly myth because it was improbable that 6 million Jews died. From the logistics point of view, inadequate design of the ovens, the number of them then available and the shortage of fuel, it was only possible to take care of far less than 6 million corpses. Don't forget that, sadly, many Jews died of diseases, and of starvation due to disruption or stoppage of food supplies caused by intense Allied bombing. Also do not forget that many Jews died while fighting for Russia, and at the hands of not only Nazis but Nazi-minded people in Germany and elsewhere in Europe.
Needless to say, the holocaust myth succeeded in garnering support for the state of Israel and for many years it was a sacred cow vital to the viability and existence of Israel. Sadly, not a few folks were prosecuted, persecuted and destroyed because of that myth!
As for the existence of Israel, what is YOUR solution? Should it be wiped from the map ala the Iranian PM's suggestion?
I am not Mahmoud Ahmedinejad! If Britain and France had not connived in the creation of Israel, I believe Israel would have been located in Madagascar as certain Zionists had conceived of it during Hitler's time. If Israel were located there, I am inclined the world would be a much happier place today. By the way, did you know that Jews were not entirely blameless during the years leading to WWII? Did you know that Jewish efforts in organzing protests and resistance against the German government was partly responsible for getting the Jews rounded up? This part of the story was conveniently and self-servingly left out by the Jews. Yet ironically, in prosecuting/persecuting the Palestinians, the Jews have been borrowing unashamedly a lot from the Nazis!
I have no solution. Also it seems too late for a solution now. I don't believe the Zionists will agree to move elsewhere even if a haven is granted them now. BTW, Kaifeng in China was an enclave for some Jews in ancient times and China was again a refuge for many Jews during WWII when no European countries (Britain included) would take them.
By the way, if it is true that the Jews are Chosen people, as they would have so many other people believe them to be, they don't have to do a thing and still prevail in the end. Meanwhile, many Jews despite themselves, can't help mulling over the possible veracity of

That Jews control the world is a perception of not a few people. Dr. Mahathir, the former PM of Malaysia, told Bush that Jews rule the world by proxy and Bush was visibly embarrassed. The truth hurts, doesn't it?

Is it right supported Jews or left supported Jews that control the media, or perhaps Jews have conspired to be both left wing and right wing at the same time to totally control all media? How about new media which probably is at the stage of replacing traditional media? I.e., do we see Jewish domination of Yahoo? AOL time warner? Google? Drudge?

If Jews happened to be left-wing and right-wing, it may be because of their diversity. However, I believe perverse Jews would conspire to be left-wing and right-wing to confuse other people. A Jewish person or entity does not have to be identified as such by a typically Jewish name or by a characteristic sign of Jewishness such as the Star of David or the Mennorah. It is a well-known fact that Jews have been acting like chameleons over the centuries and have been adopting non-Jewish names or they have Anglicized their names. Did you know that Einstein reviled against Anglicization of Jewish names? By the way, I know of some Jews who have adopted "Smith" as their surname (but never Titus). I also know of a non-Jew who adopted a very "powerful" Jewish name --- Israel ben Abraham!
By the way, many businesses that may not seem to be controlled by Jews are in fact owned by Jews.
Needless to say, ownership always dictate or influence agendas and modi operandi. To be sure, the owners have a whole slew of reasons to stay out of the spotlight.

Dunno! To me, it does not matter if they do their jobs honestly, and honourably, competently and for the good of all in the world. It does not surprise me that their appearing to work for just some folks who believe they are beyond the law and above everybody else --- I mean the Bushies and their Allies and sycophants--- is sure to invite all sorts of complaints and speculations, both valid and idle ones.

As for being considered a "nutjob" for challenging those who deny the Holocaust, all I can say is that the vast majority of Americans know which side of the tree their nuts fall and it ain't on the side of the whacko extremists.

Propaganda and lack of information and apathy engendered by a soft and cushy life have adversely affected the way Americans think. If truth be known, the American education system is inadequate and wishy-washy. This, in combination with daily bombardment by the media and the present US Administration "spin" have "dumbed down" Americans so much they are quite incapable of seeing through the deceptions and lies of the media and government. Bush was returned for a second term because, with help from the media, he succeeded in scaring Americans into voting for him. But the American people now know better.
