i agree that more hospitals will use aloxi over zofran next year since the price differential will not be that great and aloxi is a better drug...what he did not say is that 2007 will bring generic zofran and much greater cost differential so hospitals will be quick to drop aloxi since zofran is not a "bad" drug..
hospitals are governed by profit margins if one drug is not clearly much more superior to another.

clinics on the other hand will continue to use aloxi not just for the profit margins to the clinic but because it is a better drug also, since the cost of better care does not come out of their own pocket like it does for hospitals
