Solon, None of that article amazes me. All animals, because of the instinct to survive, and traits that have been instilled in them since their specie became distinct as a result of evolution, the primary instinct of an animal, including human beings, is to live. To live, an animal must have nourishment to keep the body in condition to survive. Any animal will resort to cannibalism if absolutely necessary to survive, including human beings. Some may scream "foul" with my including humans, but the human body is just that of a primate animal, and the DNA of a human, is only 2% different than that of a chimpanzee

I believe that carnivores, and herbivores, came to be selective because of their location, and situation, which turned turned them to the kind of food eaten that was most available to them.
