Bush today says "if you attack me you help the enemy". That is going to be his defense from now on. And who is "the enemy" Bush is defending us against? Does Al Qaida really care who is the president of the US? Nope, though maybe they dislike Bush more than others. And wouldn't Kerry have been just as deadly versus Al Qaida cells, if not more so? Yep. So Bush's defense is BS. As for the insurgents in Iraq, that is mainly a domestic problem within Iraq. And it may be caused primarily by our being there. From what I understand though it's mainly a matter of Shias and Kurds sharing oil revenues with Sunnis. and until they do, Sunnis will continue fighting.
