Getting asploded by terrorists is a silly thing to fear ... tin foil hat territory.

Not to down play the possible seriousness of domestic spying... but Congress is all over this stuff. The idea that we're headed for some kind of police state is just silly IMHO. What was going on under LBJ makes this look like we've made real progress on the issue.

>>>what the other side did to Clinton<<,

Mainly what the other side did was to prove that Clinton had what many people would call sex with a young woman, although he said that he didn't.

I know that for many people, especially for Republicans, Clinton's having sex with Monica was a no-no. And the Republicans sure did a good job proving that this no-no really happened. Not much was left for the imagination to fill in, though no doubt the investigators wished that there had been video tapes made inside the White House, much as Nixon had those audio tapes. From the point of view of Kenneth Starr, it was a terrible shame that it was Monica and not Paris Hilton who was interning.

John, i take it you mean that you think the constitution is an matters sometimes and not others? and that violating it will make us all safer?
I am puzzled that you find the threat of terrorism to be as great as that...say, by the way, what ever became of the anthrax scare John?
