Seriously, I'll accept Afghanistan, but again with a caveat. He got distracted before we were done there.

Are Pakistan and India getting along better because of Bush?

I think you mean he upped moral values.. Not lowered. I think that the previous administration did the former..(:)

Since you haven't been with us that long, you would have missed several posts where I praised Bush's immigration plan, especially the guest worker program to rationalize the economic magnet that drew 11 million unstoppable illegals to the US. I think it's a great idea to face reality and have a system we can regulate instead of fantasizing about sending them all home and not having them come back a week later.

Of course, his idea is out of step with both parties and went nowhere. But it's one of the rare moments when I thought his solution to a problem was imminently sensible.
