Another story about BRCM....08:45 BRCM Broadcom upgraded to Buy at AmTech (49.02 ) -Update-

AmTech upgrades BRCM to Buy from Hold and sets $59 tgt, saying the co has "been on a tear" with the Bluetooth business growing 30-60% Q/Q for the past three quarters. The firm believes this will continue as Bluetooth penetration in cell phones is about 30-35%; and they expect penetration to continue in 2006-2007. They also say the video processor business is also growing rapidly, courtesy of AAPL's VPOD, and they believe that the co started shipping multimedia processors into VPODs in Q3:05. Based on firm's checks, this business should be a solid contributor in 4Q05 and 1Q06 and should be able to offset Q1 seasonality.

To use an upgrade to your advantage you must already be a stock holder willing to sell. To use a downgrade to your advantage you must be willing to buy when others are selling because they actually believe analysts are better at timing than you are.

I am not buying anything here. I believe the market may be rolling over. I know you believe I'm wrong.
