Sheehan is a hero. That one lone woman forced Bush to start thinking about an endgame to the war. Then came John Murtha. Two people who are above all criticism from the right.

And suddenly you have Bush making 5 speeches about Iraq, not telling the truth, but at least dealing with the issue. Sheehan and Murtha will certainly end up saving US lives, but how many US lives are saved depends on Bush getting off his addiction to that war.

Bush still hasn't given us any timeframe or plan for getting out of Iraq. Just slogans and fear tactics. Time for the Iraqis to handle their own security. Enough is enough.

I think you are wrong.

Pat Sheehan (the father) is a founding member of Gold Star Families for Peace.

Maybe there is a crazy uncle in the atic.

You know damn well Bush screwed up the war and we can't stay there forever. His spin about victory and democracy is just hollow propaganda meant for the gullible.

Clinton took out Milosovic without a single US casualty. Bush has already cost us 2150 US dead and 25,000 wounded. The best we can hope for now is pressuring the corrupt Iraqis to do what's right, then take over their own security.

Bush has had 2.5 years to figure all this out. But he's been sitting on his thumbs parroting Karl Rove slogans, letting oil gougers rob us and getting very little done.

Time to put presure on Bush and the Iraqis to get their plan in order. That's the only way to get these greedy loafers moving. Remember both Bushie corporate pals and the Iraqis are making lots of US taxpayer money by extending this war, at our troops expense. Plus, so long as our troops are there doing the dirty work, they die and the Iraqi troops don't. SO why should the Iraqis step on it? They're better off not training at all. And if Bush withdraws, Halliburton will lose all those billions in no-bid contracts, which would upset Cheney.

Frankly I don't believe anything Bushies say anymore, especially about national security. What they should be doing is getting out of Iraq in 2006, plus finding who stole the 400 pounds of C4.
