News from Afghanistan practically stopped after we went into Iraq.

We had thrown out the Taliban and were on the hunt for OBL. He was in the news almost daily. Remember, that was when he made those video speeches to prove to his followers and enemies of the "great Satan" that he was still alive and viable. The MSM eventually made him a non item, kinda like Peggy Sheehan is today.

Don't forget the MSM mantra: If it bleeds, it leads.
