<Coffee is for closers!<G>>

Loved that movie... BTW Real Estate is back in Glen Garry mode! Time to dust that one off.

<I don't think the Clowngress deserves as much credit as you're givng them, though. >

I don't know... they're pretty much up on all the poop. Black Helicopter crowd that thinks Bush invaded Iraq to puff up his portfolio of course isn't happy... nor is the right who "just can't believe" the Dem's won't rubber stamp the 9/11 homeland security thinggy. So all is good, with lots of blithering to keep the political pundits jabbering to boot!!

<.they are supposed to be statesman who *CRITICALLY* analyze decisions to commit troops (not to mention spend the taxpayers clownbux like drunken sailors every chance they get).>

Well... in hindsight it's clear they should have never invaded and as I've said all along Bush should have admitted that instead of blithering about how it's still good... and wondering why everyone is pissed at him. That said, hopefully they learned.... they never did have proof positive did they? I find it interesting that part of the problem seems to have been that Egyptian interrogation (involving all sorts of sordid, nasty, techniques I'm sure) and at the same time some right wingers are complaining about McCains anti torture bill.

<How else do you explain a monster like FNMA?>

That's easy... Reagan was right. Government has NO business in that business... and that's a fact. Why anyone would expect Congress to oversee that whole thing is mind boggling. That's not cause their stupid, the stupidity there was decades ago... and probably the left wing. The issue you bring up supports the right wing Newt Gingrich/ Reagan types BIG TIME because Congress is then asked to run business' as well as government.

DAK
