my view was always the people and the infrastructure was as important as any firefight with the enemy. Unfortunately, I think a lack of support helping out the Iraqi population has been much of the cause of tensions in Iraq since the invasion occurred.

Our military went into Iraq with two bad misconceptions. They thought they could handle the country like we did Germany and Japan and they didn't want to do what we refer to as "Sys Admin" work.
