"the military is not so enthusiastic for their ideas anymore."

I think the first sign was when Dubya was giving one of his pre-planned speeches before a military audience, and when he paused for applause after giving a code phrase, he was met with resounding silence. He seemed confused, but that has been a recurring theme. Sending Cheney was a major mis-calculation. Can there be any in Iraq who are unaware that Cheney had "other priorities" when it came to Vietnam?

I know.......its pathetic. You should have seen the reaction of the people at the gym tonite when they replayed Bush's speech on the tube. One guy flipped him the bird, another raised his arms in frustration and a woman said "go to hell".

Later, a political analyst made what I consider to be an excellent point. He said that the polls were not really good indicators of the mood of the country; that generally those people who oppose Bush and his agenda feel much more intensely about their position than those who support him. Very true.

Things continue to move towards a breaking point.
