"Damn the inconvenience", Cheney said, "we're above the law". You know, their spin is ever so interesting. Digging up that order by Carter and pretending it is the same as what Bush is doing. It wasn't. It did however, give them some extra powers that dilute again their justification. And this one, the process is cumbersome. Well, yeah. We are talking about suspending peoples rights. But the point they tried to make originally is that the process didn't allow for immediate action. But that was a lie.
