<until either CY is able to demonstrate cost savings, or a rise in the value of its SunPower holdings creates a favorable arbitrage opportunity....>

I wouldn't do that, except on paper for the comedy value. Buy CY shares (with no obvious demand), sell SPWR short (with no obvious valuation reasoning and a hint of momo up!) Not me!
Lets see how long it takes to go broke that way. Buy 100,000 CY at $14.30, sell short 50,000 SPWR at $29.60. LOL Give me a week at best?

Of course TJ might decide to dividend SPWR to CY oneday eventually, but not in time to save that trade from the momo goons.

Personally I'm waiting for Crapper to reco SPWR at $45, while Cy is at $14.

OT: I hope my thoughts are not taken as buy or sell signals for anyone on any particular stocks. I do not follow RNWK. This time of year the market generally has a favorable bias for those bullish. Lots of put buying showing up again today too.

I am in general very cautious.

So cautious that I have waited over 3 years for the perfect bottom like we got in October 2002 to become fully invested.

If on average the market gets one of these bottoms every 4 to 8 years then I could be waiting 10 more months, or nearly 5 more years, before we arrive at ideal investing conditions.

My point is that my thoughts (and associated charts) are simply put out there to get other people to look beyond trading on just a gut feelings, press releases or the questionable recommendations of analysts.
