So he gets freedom after 19 years and the dead and attacked people remain dead and wounded. I never understand why people are released to go and do some more of the same. Of course Lt Calley got only a couple of years of easy home detention for bulk murder. So I suppose 19 years is a LOT for killing an actual soldier rather than a civilian.

Based on Lt Calley's punishment, this guy should have got about a week of being confined to his house.
