Libertarians think that life exists under conditions of rarified gas dynamics

Are you sure you don't mean "anarchists" rather than "libertarians"?

To make a argument from physics, Libertarians think that life exists under conditions of rarified gas dynamics, random molecules zipping around and only occasionally bumping into one another, Communists think that life exists in a crystal lattice, and if any individual molecule vibrates a little too much, the lattice will shatter, while I think that life exists in liquid water, where there is plenty of freedom for individual movement, but there are also lots of interconnections.

Interesting metaphors. Gonna have to think about them some time when I have a bit more time on my hands. NYC transit strike today has made life a bit more difficult for my still-working-in-NYC wife.
