"They probably think we deserve to be attacked."

No they think you and I should be attacked. When i mentioned i was at the WTC and witnessed folks jumping, thats when E came up with the terrorists "throwing your grandkids off the roor" crack. When i pm''d her and gave her a chance to think that through, i got another round of "principles are more important than the lives of her/mu kids." Sick, sick, sick.
As far as what bush did, let the congress and courts come to some sort of conclusion on it. The crux of the issue has to do whether the type of wiretapping falls within the scope of FISA court. I suspect its outside and technically an expansion and that for me is enough to allow it. This is an assymetric war against the terrorists--assysmetric on both sides so guys with cell phones planning attacks are as legit military and intel targets and the high command of hitlers germany would have been. And if fisa cant get us to monitor their cell contacts, Bush had to do this.
Bush sucks because he allowed 9/11 and bush sucks because he fights diligently against another one. Damned if you do, damned if you dont. Mike

"Bush's authorizations to listen in on calls to and from America to suspected terrorists won't even be a minor footnote in history."

Especially since the surveillance he authorized is perfectly legal under both FISA and the constitution.

Not that the dems would let a little thing like the law interfere with a big juicy batch of hyperbole.

Hey, you think they'll ever figure out why no one listens when they continuously cry "wolf!"?
