I'm surprised at you. I'm surprised you would give anyone carte blanche authority over you. I'm really, really surprised. Aghast, even.

I, myself, haven't found any basis to object to what has actually been done, to the extent that I understand it, that is. It seems reasonable to me that we would spy on enemy operatives whether they were "US people" or not. As for whether or not the president has the authority to do that, I don't think the dust has settled yet on that question. If he doesn't have the authority, then doing it is a problem. We really can't have presidents breaking the law, after all.

That's the particular. Back to the principle--this carte blanche folks are prepared to give up because they the administration says it will keep us safe, whoa, Nellie.
