"It is about the system we have and about checks and balances and about under what circumstances a president has the right to sidestep the system of checks and balances." Seems like a fair minded person would include monitoring known terrorists international conversations with those on U.S. soil. "To me it is a given that a system that fails in it's checks and balances will become corrupt" Maybe so. But that is not the case here. We are monitoring the activities of a know enemy we are at war with. Our constitution allows for this. Only an extreme lefty would side against us on this one.
