He admits to being on the borderline. Nobody there (many of them lawyers) suggested any wrongdoing on his part. Attacks against him started years later when the Republicans started an election campaign. Occam's razor is a dictum I have always believed in...

What a waste of energy for YOU OR I to mount mindless attacks against either Bush OR Kerry...

I try to be thoughtful and honest. Kerry strikes me as an ambitious American with idealistic leanings. He joined the military, he risked his life. He fought for his country. His idealism and his sensibilities were offended by the horrible realities of war. He carried on and he spoke his mind and he lived his values.

These were all good qualities, IMO. But I also see an opportunism and a disrespect for honesty in his character. I see phoniness in Bush'es character, too. C'est la vie...
