I bought the last few Panda America had for $850, then they removed the price and posted their 1-800 number, which means they don't have any coins.

Since neither PandaAmerica nor PandaUSA have 83s, and since the 1982 (which is a medal not a coin) goes for $2500, I would not imagine there is much downside to the 1983s, for the 83s-and not the 1982's-are the first real Panda *coins* (the purists love this)

If you pop his bubble I'd be a buyer again around $800. The 1983 1oz mintage of 25,000 means that in several years these coins will become very hard to come by.
