I'm not arguing with the death toll from malaria. What I'm disputing is your assertion that DDT is the solution to it. A lot of people have done plenty of work on the subject, and I'm certainly not convinced that Malkin, Williams, et al. know more about it than they do. I don't have the time or inclination to reinvent the wheel on this subject, so that's the last I have to say on it.

DDT is believed to affect the eggs of birds, in particular making the shells too thin. Read Rachel Carson Silent Spring. Besides there are no alligators in Africa, just crocs.
