But his public appearances all had him making a show of confidence. Bush/Cheney aren't anywhere near the point where they can accept they screwed the pooch. They still think they can pull it off. And you know, they were soooo close. If it hadn't of been for Katrina, the press would still be their lap dog. Oh, there troubles had been mounting and would still be, but Katrina was their Waterloo. Once they lost the press, the beginning of the end was put in motion.
