Yes a lot of money is wasted in pork barrel spending. Did you somehow think I was a fan of such spending?


$26 million to operate the Selective Service (draft boards) even though there is no draft now—and hasn’t been any since 1973.


That is the only one that might be defensible. I'm against the draft but unless it is public policy that we aren't going to have a draft at any point no matter what $26mil a year for the maintenance of the infrastructure for a draft isn't unreasonable.

What does any of this have to do with FEMA?
