If some school wants to teach that the earth is 10 miles across or 1 million miles across that would contradict reality but it would be unlikely to be an establishment issue, and I submit it would take a very activist court (esp. if it was a federal court) to intervene

Provided no evidence came out that showed motivation for such a position. A more interesting case would be a history class teaching that the Holocaust did not occur. That would seem to sidestep the establishment clause IMO, but still have an issue with reality. I'd like to see such a case, just to see what the judicial system would do.

My personal opinion is that people should have the right to prostitute themselves

But do you admit that a society with legal prostitution makes it more likely that your daughter might grow up to be one? In the case of homosexuality, I can refute my parents views, since I don't believe there is much if any feedback effect. There is a feedback effect in terms of openness about homosexuality, but not much in terms of changing sexual orientation from one way to another. With prostitution I think there is a feedback effect. More acceptance means more use, more use means it grows as a factor in society. I don't know how to handle such situations, as I generally favor freedom.
