This is the monthly update of the 2 tables comparing 04 and 05 SEMI Bookings and Billings through the month of November. The November update is nearly a "carbon copy" of the October report.

At the bottom line, Bookings are down 4.5B+, and Billings are down 1.9B+ so far this year. Percentage wise, it looks like Bookings will be down about 30 percent, and Billings will be down about 15 percent for the year once we get the December data. The monthly variation in both Bookings and Billings for the year have remained remarkably small.

Hi Don
on AMAT board we talked about some discrepancy between bookings and billings; so I did some crunching to see when the surplus in billings occurred. Beginning with Q2 2005 billings start to outstrip bookings; Q1 2004 makes sense to me as bookings exceed billings. By March 2005 all the bookings surplus "melted" away but billings continue to exceed bookings - IOW net billings continue to increase as of Q2 2005.
I just subtracted your monthly billings from bookings/ (-) would represent billings exceed bookings for the month
(perhaps SEMI does need to get an audit)
