And she pulled it off.......for now. Stevens must be pissed! Credit given where credit due...her threat to filibuster halped...but the failure of the cloture vote, thanks to 3 republicans, chaffee, dewine and frist (well 2 actually, frist the crook voted against it because he wanted to reserve the right to go back and revisit next year) cloture failed. What the repugnigants do next is tbd. most likely scenario is that they withdraw the bill and re-introduce it without this shameless rider attached to it. Al
