That's arrogance of modernity.

So, because people once thought that stirring in eye of newt and toe of frog was scientific we need to teach it in science class? I suppose, then, we should also teach what was once considered medicine in medical school...

Science classes teach a lot of things which are still theories under development

Of course they do. But they are scientific theories, not philosophic theories or political theories or any other kind of theories. And they will be replaced with better scientific theories at such time as any are developed. But you don't replace a scientific theory with a philosophical theory. Not in science class.
