Thanks Eagle. A response truly appreciated and with a strategy to boot to tame the unpredictable beast.

I think a little bit of history about me is in order. I was 'playing' the market, to my detriment, up until March of this year. After numerous mishaps, all executed with sound reasoning, I had to choose to either pull out completely of the market or start using a gentler, kinder method. I chose for the kinder, gentler method as I do enjoy the market as well as an appreciating portfolio. I had bookmarked Dale's thread and, with some moderation, starting using his methodology. I recouped all my losses within a few months (didn't hurt that the market was in a little rally mode) as well as gaining 15% overall for the year. Pretty good in that one could even say that, once I changed my strategy, my portfolio increased 25 to 30% over a nine month period.

But, to tell the truth, I missed the excitement of the chase. So, I ventured back in two months ago, with some success. I didn't lose all my gains with this NVAX fiasco but enough to question pursuing this trading style. It works great for some people. I, on the other hand, get caught up in the thrill of the trade instead of following a emotionless short term style. I guess I have too much hope and faith that a stock will do what I hope it will do. Another problem with under $10 stocks is the unpredictability. Being unpredictable is predictable, and that is not a good thing.

Your style is valid in that it works for you but I do not think it good for me. The method would require constant attention, not unlike I've had to do the last two months, and I believe I need a rest from it. Also, I never trade on margin. I don't have enough money to risk without feeling great pains in case a trade goes bad.

Maybe your methodology will work for someone else. And, yes, we do appreciate the sharing. It's the only way to navigate this mess.

Again,

Thanks

Very interesting, Eagle.

If you care to, could you give some examples as you are doing them?
