I recently used that expression in a mediation, but added at the end..."pound on the table and call the other guy a liar..." Litigation has become so contentious, though I am surprised at the shooting in Washington between lawyers over a real estate transaction. Can't understand how anyone could be that personally involved with his/her client's cause so as to 'do in' one's opponent. I say that having had the occasional urge to strangle an opponent, or drop a briefcase on his foot, but these are transitory at most.....<g>
