People step up like truman and fail like carter. Excellent examples. A WW1 artillery lieutenant says "Bring it on!" and handles ir all. And a Navy nuclear engineer fails miserably because his personal beliefs won't let hin go in for serious arm twisting when required. I have affection for bush but his "loyalty" borders on the ridiculous at times. We've had numerous examples of that recently. Nixon was loyal to his subordinates unto disaster. PS in the day you and i would be considered scoop jackson democrats. Now we are labeled as nazis by the hyped up left. That's because the American left has moved so far left that its former center is now radical right.
