Re: SPH ..... Welcome aboard fastball.

When I look at the weekly chart, it looks like SPH is trying to put in a bottom. There are a series of bottoming bars that look questionable to me. They seem extremely long to have price bounce back so quickly. I don't know anything about SPH but if you follow it, see if any dividend distribution coincides with the dates of those long tails.

I'm looking at MACD specifically, which measures the quality of the trend and I see that it is improving while price is trading sideways. This may be confirming the bottoming process.

I don't know what to tell you about taking the loss for tax purposes. I do know that even though you are showing a loss now, if price closes below last week's low in the coming weeks, I would be out of it for no other reason than it will probably go lower.

Re: SPH ... Looks like your buddy Ottrose was right. SPH was bottoming and has rebounded nicely over the last couple of sessions.

It should run into resistance around $26.00, if it continues up from here. However, it broke above a pivot point yesterday (the $24.95 price point) and moved above the 20 day moving average. Both bullish!

It's improving but not out of the woods yet. Keep your stop in place, just in case.
