Abramoff is scummy and both Republicans and Democrats are filthy with his involvement, but I suspect the republicans will pay a heavier price for whatever deal he cuts.

This could be as defining an issue for the 06 elections as anything, as it reaches down to individual congresspeople and personalizes their actions.

Returning the money at this late date just makes it look worse, IMHO.
