It is totally science.

We as intelligent creatures modify life. Using science. Doing science. Through science.

There can be no question that in our laboratories, the modification of one life form into another by the operation of an intelligent being or species is science.

I'm sure you accept that for human intelligence. Why do you deny the possibility of it for nonhuman intelligence?
