The apartment complex I live in has a stray cat/dog/other animal policy: They catch them, take them to a vet for shots and whatever, then set them free back at the complex and tenants adopt them, except uncaged pets are not allowed inside the apartments. The result is that the animals all have several foster parents. If someone bonds well with a "complex" pet, they are welcome to take it with them when they move.

A couple of years back I was visiting a girl that lived in an apartment complex and took her trash to the compactor as I was leaving. There were about a dozen cats and 2 dogs going through the garbage looking for food - GOOD looking animals! They were scared and wouldn't come to me or I probably would have brought them all home. Anyway, I figure for at least one day out of the year they should be served a good meal. I'm not much of a people person, but I've never had an animal try to screw my wife, steal my money, or break into my car. I got nothing against animals.
