I see. "Enlightened" means that people you don't approve of and who can afford it are tapped to support whatever the collective determines an appropriate use of those individuals' assets. Got it. <g>

Seems to me it's more enlightened to encourage those with vast fortunes to set up aggressive foundations, to be philanthropists. Has a more positive and constructive and, dare I say, enlightened ring to it, seems to me.

I am opposed to doing anything by force. I am opposed to taking away by force excess property even from Dennis Kolowlski and/or Donald Trump.

So you think taxes should be optional??

But, I don't see where Dennis Kolowsky or Donald Trump have any inherent rights to offend my sense of propriety <g>.

Now you go from being libertarian, even anarchist to being rather authoritarian, or at least it would be so if you were totally serious about it rather then saying it with a "<g>"

Also, I don't think we are going to do away with government any time soon. They have a role to play and they might as well play that role with some dignity and smarts.

In order for government to play a role, they will be funded one way or another.

Now it looks like some of my posts here. Against taking wealth on principle but recognizing that taxes are a practical necessity.

It is better to get it from the likes of Kolowski and Trump rather than from the average Joe.

Supporting a "progressive" tax system??

So from anarchist to authoritarian to libertarian to liberal. <g>
