I certainly don't think they would undertake a serious war lightly and, if they did go to war, with what intention in mind? By no stretch of the imagination will Iran be a walkover. Talking about Israel's history, I'm sure Israel won't forget the Yom Kippur war when its airforce was virtually destroyed by Soviet SAMs in the hands of the Egyptians and had to be replaced at the the last moment by the US. Likewise its tanks were nearly all wiped out by Sagger missiles. In fact, it was touch and go that Israel could have lost that war and if it wasn't for brilliant generalship by Sharon it would have.
