The rising costs of oil and natural gas will result in the advancement of many technologies that were formerly considered too marginal for the snooty-arse banks and biopharma-oriented, greed-fueled investment banking community to support properly.

This will go all the way back to subjects such as 1979 oil shale retorting projects in the mountains of Colorado. If the Kyoto-sputterers and global-warming idiots would quit trying to re-engineer the world and simply deal with their smoldering, rat-infested tire piles, environmental matters would start to improve greatly. A used tire that someone will pay for (..like aluminum cans..) will not end up in the stream behind your house or the local junkyard or landfill.

Great strides will also be made in Anaerobic Digestion in 2006 and going forward.
