That is incorrect according to my memory, and also according to this website, although I have to admit that my memory is often faulty these days.miseryindex.us I will say that imo the US rates will seldom give a true picture as I have read many times that they count a large number of people as "no longer looking". I do recall where we suffered far more during the period, but as you say, if they get the sniffles, we catch a cold. "Canadian Prime Ministers get coated with Teflon just before their swearing in ceremony. It’s a Canadian tradition!" I agree, but that also applies to Mulroney, and I believed he was considered the slipperiest of them all, with the exception of two ridings of course. "This was a “Hidden Tax” as few Canadians actually knew of its existence." While I cannot speak to how many knew of it, I can assure you that I did. It was a business tax that was transferred to the people, much as corporate rates have dropped while personal rates have increased. I won't get into my personal analysis of the individual parties or their representatives, as you have done a pretty good job, but I have to say that I have never met a polititcian that I trusted, and I have met a few. I do wish you well in your quest to change any minds, but you could make better use of your time with others perhaps, rather than trying to convince me that Harper is good for Canada. <vbg> Regards,
