I am bothered, at least, 3 times a week by phone calls from telemarketers based in India. Evidently, they work so cheaply, that businesses from many countries are using them to tout their goods. Here in the US, we can put our phone numbers on a "do not call" list, and if telemarketers call, they are open for legal restitution which will make them liable for $500.00 per call, but coming from offshore, there is nothing we can do to stop them, even when I tell them to go kill a cow. I don't buy into this "global warming" schtick, because in the history of the earth, there have been as many extremely hot years, as there have been years of ice ages. It is a natural phenomona, and the cycle will continue regardless of what man does, other than cause a nuclear winter. Then we can all kiss our arses good by. I live 40 feet above sea level, and am approx. 20 miles from the coast, and have no fear of weather. There is a large city between us and the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, which almost guarantees no tidal waves, and the house is made from concrete blocks, and has had no hurricane damage since it was built over 20 years ago. There will come a time when mankind wakes up to the consequences of raping the earth, and will cease ignoring the useless waste of fuels. The Panama Canal was thought to be folly until it was finished and proved itself. Such is the reluctance of change. Big brother is growing, and is a bit scarey. One does not need to be on the internet. Anyone that has a Social Security number, is apt to get the number of the beast at any time. When the mob was in it's hay day here, if someone owed them money, all they did was break his legs. In Russia, they shoot him.
