TG, I know about that tsunami that was created by the earthquake that almost destroyed Anchorage. There was a recent TV documentary about that earthquake, and it showed the devastation of the city.

Not to worry Tide, the east coast is "scheduled" for some high water too....There is a major portion of some island on the other side of the Atlantic that is supposed to slide into the sea and send waves your way. It is pretty interesting stuff for sure, numerous sources including including undersea slides and quakes. I don't think any coast is immune.

I've seen single waves without "apparent" sources on very calm days out on the great lakes before. But in my current location, I'm more worried about asteroids...;>)
