"The frontier days" and "unfettered freedom" are not concepts that are relevant to a conversation about whether or not a tax rate equal to or close to 100% is fundamentally unjust. The conversation is about putting limits on things, including taking away everything from anybody. Nobody is talking about taking away everything from anybody. It is about paying a fair share. We are not talking about taking away a luxury lifestyle for people like Donald Trump. We are talking about not giving Donald Trump wealth in perpetuity. We are talking about public policy that encourages Donald Trump to work and manage natural resources (that belong to the planet) on a temporary basis.
