From an environmental perspective I have often said here and elsewhere that China's problems can hardly be overstated. Of course from a greenhouse gas perspective the US is worse -- but never mind that. China is dirty. Its air is dirty. Its water is dirty. This is a simple fact that anybody with any experience is fully aware. Now tell me, are you aware of the things going on in China to deal with pollution? I strongly doubt it. That would require an effort and some thought. No, dirty pictures from space is as close as you get. Fair enough. View China from outer space as you wish -- but don't pretend that you have a clue about what is going on at ground level. China is going through one of the most far reaching transformations any country has ever experienced. It is large, fast moving and complex. It does not lend itself to the sort of jingoism that tries to pass for intelligent observation in your posts. To understand would require effort -- why bother when it is so easy to just conjure up a parody from thin air -- a product of your own ill informed prejudice. I can't blame you -- why bother knowing more?
