The Economist had a blurb pooh-poohing gold again a few weeks back -- claiming that central bankers want to get rid of their reserves, and taking the usual cheap shots at gold bugs, who it seems they treat as some sort of lunatics who it is understood need to be reviled and derided. Like Richard Russel in his latest article, I look forward to China and Russia saying to the western central banks -- so you don't want your gold, we'll take it all -- and then we will see what they will do. Well, I am happy when the big publications like the Economist do not "get it" as far as the gold story goes because it means more profit for those who do get it.
