Actually I used to sort of like Bush and Cheney both.
That's why I was so blind-sided and outraged when after they ran in 2000 as reasonable guys, they turned into such dishonest extremists. I was never involved politically before that. It was the Enron gouging of California and the connection between that and Bush-Cheney. That's when I knew this country was in big trouble. And it's only gotten worse since then.

Today you see Bush has appointed three neocon cronies to take over congress in case of a disaster where many congressmen die. One more step toward totalitarian extremist control. And if you don't think if can happen in this country, just remember McCarthyism and both Kennedys being murdered by the rightwing. Also, both the 2000 and 2004 elections were stolen, and 2002 was too, more or less. This democracy's in grave danger. No time to be attacking the messengers.
