"The state's highest criminal court has agreed to hear Republican Congressman Tom DeLay's request for a quick resolution to the money laundering charges that forced him to give up his position as House majority leader, his spokesman said."

That report, it seems, to have been in error. What happened is the court agreed to consider hearing the case.

Thanks for the update. I didn't even question the story after seeing that the appeals court was dominated by Republicans. I figured they were doing his bidding.

Do you think the Delay spokeperson truly misunderstood, or was he trying to spin it for whatever purpose? Its clear that Delay is freaking out over the potential loss of his House position. I guess his enemies have become emboldened and plan to vote him out next month.
