Good grief, we agree again. We'll have to stop meeting like this. I too think that the "r" word is ridiculous. Even if it once had meaning, it has become so abused, over-used, bent and twisted that it's nothing more than a term of abuse these days. < I have never called you or anyone else a racist, here on SI or anywhere else, cyber or 3D, ever. i do not do so because it is meaningless, at least to me > Why on Earth would gold mines be shut down when gold can be extracted for $200 an ounce and sold for $500 an ounce? I would say that people are gearing up gold mines, not shutting them down. My proton displacement system is also under development to mass produce the stuff from cinnabar. I'm even hopeful of getting lead to do the decent thing and drop out 3 or 4 protons to produce gold and platinum in bulk. I just need to get my shaking and displacing system more in harmony - I'm thinking by turning loose some hydrogen nuclei and spraying them through some warmed up lead, or mercury, they'll grab another on their way through. Timing and speed and grace are crucial. If people want gold, I'm thinking it would be good to produce gold 3G cyberphones. How swanky would those be?!! Mqurice
