Thanks, had no idea the premiums got as high as they did for CEF.

The GLD ETF has set up a system that keeps the premium low. Participant broker/dealers ability to deliver gold for new shares, or shares for gold, keeps them willing to do so even if their take is only 5 cents on a 50 dollar stock.

With millions of shares involved and the ability to do this several times a month, why not?
